What’s the Most Beautiful Place in the World?

Everyone will have their own opinion on this one.

I come from New Zealand, and I think most people who’ve been there would agree it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.

But for me, one of the unexpected beautiful places was the town of Bled, in Slovenia. I was there in 2004, and took the photo below.

It doesn’t really do the place justice. You can see the church on an island in the middle of a huge lake, which is surrounded by the Julian Alps and has an old castle perched overlooking the scene. The colors changed every day, depending on the weather, and it was so peaceful and romantic.

Where’s the most beautiful place you’ve seen?

I think Koh Samui in Thailand. Arguably the worlds most sensational sunsets. Water that is so safe and warm. Palm trees adourn the whole landscape. Waterfalls in abundance. Peace and tranquil. Take a look at the sunsets on http://www.thebaldchemist.com blog

I would have to say that of all the places I have been the Island of Capri off the coast of Naples, Italy must be one of the most beautiful places in the world to me. Also the island of Santorini is very nice as well but then so are most of the Greek islands in the world.

From a city perspective the city of Venice, Italy is extremely nice as that is a place I would like to live one day. In fact I am starting up a new blog in that effort called believe it or not “A Month in Venice” which can be reached at http://www.amonthinvenice.com. The blog is still in development as the theme must be updated to reflect its focus.

That is just my two cents as to some of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

Ray – I had a look, nice pics.

Richard – I’ve been to Capri too! The water was beautiful. Capri itself was bloody expensive. I’d love to go to Venice one day soon.

Hmm..definitely the lake region in Argentina. There’s something about mountains and lakes that just go together so perfectly.

Capri was by far the most beautiful place, until I visited Santorini Greece.

Here in the U.S, the northern California coast has some stunning views.

Carter: I’ve been to Argentina but only Buenos Aires, I’d love to see the lake region one day. Got any pics?

DC Traveler: I just arrived in San Francisco the other day, so I’ll have to take a road trip! Greece is most definitely on my list too after taking Classics at high school.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do have some photos, although they’re not the highest quality. I took them back in the day when cameras used something called “film.” Take a look at my flickr page.

And while I do enjoy Buenos Aires (although it’s a very melancholy city), there is vast beauty to be seen in the South and the West of Argentina, as well as the Iguazu waterfalls. Just breathtaking.

    Cool, looks beautiful.

I’d definitely love to see more of Argentina. I’ve only seen Buenos Aires and the falls (both sides). Patagonia’s on my list.

i will have to say that the most beautiful city is one maybe none of you have seen before.

it is the small town of Port Colborne in Ontario Canada. this town is nestled along the welland canal between lake erie and lake Ontario.
